Construction of a Twin Microstrip Gas Detector to determine the second Spatial Coordinate in the CMS Forward Tracker

The inner tracker of the CMS detector will use stereo detector modules to measure the passage of particles in two dimensions. For this purpose the CMS baseline forsees to use twin modules in the MSGC forward
tracker.
Such a module was built and tested for the first time in the framework of this Diplomarbeit.
With success: the module operated satisfactorily in a low intensity beam and the resolution along the strips shows the correct behaviour with varying stereo angle.
